Leading by Example | Changhong Intelligent Successfully Hosts the Jiangsu Province High-Value Patent Cultivation Program (Yancheng) Demonstration Site Meeting

On August 27, an on-site demonstration meeting for the Jiangsu Province High-Value Patent Cultivation Program (Yancheng) was held at Changhong Intelligent. Officials from intellectual property bureaus and market supervision administrations across Yancheng City and its counties and districts attended, alongside representatives from nearly 50 enterprises. The meeting was presided over by Zhu Xiaoyan, a Level 3 Principal Staff Member of the Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau, and Division Chief Zhang Wei attended and delivered a speech.

Director Zhang Wei stated that this on-site meeting serves as a significant model and provides valuable guidance. She urged all counties, districts, and enterprises to attach great importance to intellectual property work, actively adopt advanced practices, learn from one another’s strengths, and comprehensively utilize intellectual property tools—such as patents and trademarks—to effectively enhance their innovation protection and competitiveness.

At the meeting, Wu Hongxia, Director of Intellectual Property at Changhong Smart, provided a detailed overview of the implementation roadmap and interim achievements over the three-year project cycle. She presented insights across three key dimensions—patent portfolio planning, the integration of R&D with patent strategy, and the commercialization of innovations—highlighting initiatives such as aligning patent strategies with market demands. She also showcased practical results, demonstrating how high-value patent portfolios have driven increased market share and established robust core technological barriers.

Gu Kejia, an expert from Nanjing Jiuzhi Intellectual Property Agency, delivered a lecture on "High-Value Patent Application Strategies and Full-Chain Protection." The presentation provided an in-depth analysis of topics such as methods for identifying high-value patents and techniques for drafting application documents. By examining representative case studies, the speaker addressed common pain points and challenges in corporate patent management and offered targeted solutions, providing practical guidance to help participating enterprises enhance their capabilities in patent creation and protection.

Following the meeting, all attendees, guided by staff, toured the Changhong Intelligent R&D Center to observe innovative achievements such as Changhong’s DIP & Free360 dipping technology and UV spray insulation technology. Through on-site explanations and demonstrations, the delegates gained firsthand insight into how the cultivation of high-value patents supports the company's technological innovation.

The convening of this demonstration event by Changhong Intelligent has further solidified the consensus between government and enterprises on collaboratively fostering high-value patents. It has laid a solid foundation for the standardized implementation and dissemination of best practices regarding Yancheng City's high-value patent cultivation projects, and holds significant importance for promoting the deep integration of intellectual property with industrial development and driving regional innovation-led growth.
