The commercial vehicle welding line is primarily responsible for the welding and fabrication of cab structures and chassis assemblies for trucks, buses, and construction vehicles. It is a critical production line in commercial vehicle manufacturing, ensuring body structure formation, structural strength, and dimensional accuracy.

Centered on the main welding lines for cabs and chassis frames—and supported by various sub-assembly welding lines—the production system employs a process model combining automated welding, rigid fixture positioning, and flexible mixed-model production. The line integrates functions such as robotic spot welding, MAG/MIG arc welding, adhesive application, workpiece turnover and positioning, material handling, and in-line inspection, enabling the complete welding process from individual stamped parts to the finished body-in-white assembly.
To address the specific characteristics of commercial vehicles—such as thick sheet metal, heavy components, stringent structural strength requirements, diverse model types, and flexible batch sizes—the fixtures are designed for high rigidity and rapid changeover. The welding strategy prioritizes long-seam arc welding supplemented by spot welding, effectively controlling welding deformation while ensuring joint strength and dimensional accuracy.
The entire line utilizes centralized PLC control and incorporates safety interlocks, fault diagnosis, and data traceability systems; this ensures stable, reliable production capable of meeting the demands of mixed-model commercial vehicle manufacturing and the production of heavy-duty structural components.
