The passenger vehicle welding line is the core production system for welding and assembling the body-in-white (BIW) of passenger cars, SUVs, MPVs, and other passenger vehicles. It is mainly responsible for sub-assembly welding, BIW framing, and dimensional adjustment, serving as a critical process for ensuring body structural strength, dimensional accuracy, and exterior quality.

The production line is designed with a focus on flexibility, automation, and high throughput, comprising sections for the underbody, side panels, closures (doors/hoods/trunk lids), main framing, and adjustment. The line integrates robotic spot welding, laser welding, arc welding, structural/damping adhesive application, automatic loading, high-precision positioning tooling, and intelligent conveying systems to execute the automated welding and assembly of stamped parts into a complete body-in-white.
To address the specific characteristics of passenger vehicles—such as the prevalence of thin-gauge sheet metal, dense weld patterns, and stringent requirements for aesthetics and assembly precision—the line is equipped with high-precision positioning tooling and in-line dimensional inspection to strictly control body fitment accuracy and weld quality. Supporting mixed-model production on a single line, the system utilizes centralized PLC control, safety interlocking, welding parameter monitoring, and production data traceability to ensure stable, high-quality automated manufacturing that meets the demands of high-volume, high-speed passenger vehicle production.
